1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Butter, the size of a walnut
Flour, as needed
Chocolate Pudding Filling
1 1/2 (one and one-half) c. milk
1 1/2 (one and one-half) c. water
1/2 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Cream the butter and egg; add the sugar and baking powder; mix well; add the milk and vanilla extract; mix well. Add enough flour to make a little stiffer than cake batter and bake in 9x13-in. pan at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 20-1/2 an hour. When cool cut in little square or rectangles and top with filling.
Chocolate Pudding Filling: Mix sugar, flour, cornstarch and cocoa, add to milk and water and bring to boil, add vanilla. Put this on the square or rectangles and serve while hot.
