Recipe for cooking ham loaf

Recipes from Amish Country :: Amish Main Dish Meats


1 lb. fresh ground pork
1 lb. cured ground ham
1 c. bread crumbs
1 c. milk
Salt and pepper, to taste

Mix all ingredients together, shape into a loaf and bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. At the end of 1 hour, pour Sauce over the ham loaf.

Sauce
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. red wine vinegar

Mix all ingredients and let it come to a boil before pouring on ham loaf.
