Makes two 9-in. pies. Crumb Mixture 2 1/2 (two and a half) c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 c. shortening 1 c. brown sugar Bottom 1 c. hot water 1 c. brown sugar 1 c. molasses 1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in 1 tsp. vinegar Mix crumb mixture ingredients together. Blend bottom ingredients together. Line 2 pie pans in an even way with liquid, and cover with crumbs. Bake at 425 degrees fahrenheit for 15 mins., and then at 350 degrees fahrenheit until done.
