2/3 c. uncooked rice
1 small onion, minced
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
2 Tbsp. butter or butter-replacement
1 (16 ounce) can tomatoes
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/4 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 bay leaf
6 whole black peppercorns
2 whole cloves
1 (6 1/2 ounce) can crabmeat
Salt and pepper
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Cook and drain rice. Cook onion and green pepper in butter 2 to 3 mins. Add next 5 ingredients. Tie whole spices in small piece of cheesecloth and add. Simmer, uncovered or without a lid, 10 mins.
Remove spice bag. Add crab meat, rice and salt and pepper to taste. Put into a 1 1/2-quart casserole and sprinkle and distribute with cheese. Bake at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 20 mins.
