1 cake or pkg. yeast
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 c. lukewarm water
1 1/2 (one and one-half) c. milk, scalded
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 tsp. salt
6 c. flour

After kneading, place in greased bowl and let rise until double.

Roll out to 3/4-in. thick. Cut with 3-in. cutter. Cover circles and let rise until very light. Bake on greased electric skillet or at 375 degrees fahrenheit in the oven.
