SHRIMP PULAO

Basmati rice 1 cup
Prawns 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves 1/2 cup chopped
Green chilies 3
Chopped garlic 2 tsp
Peppercorns 7
Cloves 5
Chopped ginger 1 tsp
Cinnamon 1 inch
Salt
Oil
  • Grind chopped garlic and ginger, pepper corns, cloves, cinnamon, green chilies, and coriander leaves, grind all the ingredients with little water.
  • Wash and clean the prawns, apply salt and turmeric powder and keep aside for 15 minutes.
  • Fry the prawns in oil but do not let them harden.
  • Heat the pan with the oil, add cumin seeds and add the ground masala and fry till oil separates.
  • Wash and clean the rice. Add the rice and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add one and a half cups water to it, add salt and mix it.
  • When the water boils reduce the flame and cook the rice on slow fire for 10 min or till rice is cook.
  • Mix fried prawns with the cooked rice.
  • Cover and leave on slow fire for five minutes.
