Masala Dabba

Masala Dabba are beautiful metal boxes that have several compartments or smaller tins with lids that many families use to store their spices in order to hold in freshness. You can buy them pre-filled with the following:

• Ground Turmeric
• Ground Cumin
• Ground Coriander
• Chili Powder
• Mustard Seeds
• Fenugreek Seeds
• Garam Masala

These beautiful tins come with their own spoons to use with each spice. They usually have two lids. The smaller lids on the separate compartments and then the one on the whole box. The outer lid is usually only kept on when the spices will not be used for longer periods of time. When in use every day it is usually kept off. These are beautiful to leave out on your counter to enhance the beauty of your home. Some of them are made of stainless steel but you can now find some made of copper.
