Wheat Flour (Aata)
In India wheat flour has a pleasant texture and is not commonly
used with baking powder as in Occident. Wheat is a cereal grass
cultivated since ancestral times as one of the first cultivated
crops by mankind.
Wheat Flour is used to bake parathas, an flat-style Hindi bread
popular in all the nation, but atta is also base for baking other
breads such as naan, roti, puri, and baati, as well as dishes
and desserts such as:

• Honey Whole Wheat Bread
• Skillet Cornbread with Okra Topping
• Wheat Flour Dosa (Godhuma Dosa)
Wheat was first cultivated in India, China and other Asian countries
about 10,000 years ago according to evidence found by archaeologists.
Today wheat is classified according its grain properties being
used in cooking for different purposes.
