Oregano is harvested wild; hence, it is often referred to as "wild marjoram". However, oregano and marjoram are from the same plant family, but different herbs.

Found as whole oregano leaves and ground oregano, its color ranges from light to dark green, but preserving its strongly aromatic pungent flavor composed of earthy/musty, hay, green, and minty notes, according to culinary experts.
