1 1/2 (one and one-half) c. blue cornmeal 2 tsp. baking powder 3 Tbsp. sugar 3/4 c. milk 1 large egg, beaten 3 Tbsp. bacon fat 1 small can green chiles, chopped Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. Combine cornmeal, baking powder and sugar. Mix remaining ingredients separately. Add liquid mix to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly. Pour into a greased baking pan and bake for 1/2 an hour or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
