1 Tbsp. olive oil 1/2 pound lean ground beef 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. garlic salt 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. Mexican oregano 2 Tbsp. hot chile powder 2 (16 ounce) cans hominy, strained and rinsed 5 c. mild beef broth or water Heat a pot over moderate heat. Add olive oil and ground beef; fry until the meat is browned. Add garlic powder, garlic salt, onion powder, oregano and chile powder and stir to mix well into the meat. Add hominy and broth or water. Let it come to a boil, and simmer for 15 mins. Serves 4.
