1 1/4 (one and one-fourth) c. sugar 1/2 c. boiling water 4 1/2 (four and a half) c. cold water 1 1/2 (one and one-half) c. fresh lemon juice Combine sugar and boiling water, stirring until sugar dissolves fully and completely. Add cold water and lemon juice. Mix well. Chill and serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired. Makes 7 1/4 c.. You can substitute lime juice for the lemon juice. This is the way "lemonade" is made in Mexico.
