1 lb. bulk sausage
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. milk

Shape sausage into 1-in. balls and place in a 2-quart casserole. Bake 15 or 20 mins. until lightly browned at 400 degrees fahrenheit.

Pour off most of the fat from the casserole, leaving about 1/4 c..

While sausage bakes, sift flour, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. Add milk and eggs. Mix together lightly and beat the mixture together well until very smooth. Pour into the hot casserole over the sausage balls and bake 15 mins. at 400 degrees fahrenheit.

Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees fahrenheit and bake another 15 mins.

Serve immediately with cold applesauce.
