AVAKKAI PICKLE

Mango 2
Mustard seed powder 1/4 cup
Red chili powder 1/2 cup
Turmeric powder 4 tsp
Fenugreek powder 3 tsp
Asafoetida 1 tsp
Sesame oil 2 cup
Salt
  • Cut the mango into medium size pieces. Then mix with salt and keep it aside for 2 hours.
  • Mix mustard powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, fenugreek powder, asafoetida and add the mangoes and mix well.
  • Heat the pan with oil add these mangoes and mixture.
  • Heat the pan for 10 min now the oil should come to the top.
  • Remove the pan from heat.
  • For the next 4 days, stir it with a dry wooden stick once everyday.
  • Store in refrigerator.
