About Knives
Knives come many different shapes and sizes and do many different
things around the kitchen. Not only are knives used to prepare
Indian foods but are used in kitchen across the world. There are
many different varieties of knives in a kitchen and they all have
a different functions including:
• Bread Knife
• Boning Knife
• Cheese Knife
• Paring Knife
• Chef Knife
• Utility Knife
• Vegetable Knife
The differences in the knives you choose to use are decided by
what you want to use it for. As you can see there are knives that
do everything you will need in a kitchen to prepare salads to
slicing homemade breads.
There are some that you just have to have for that certain item
you’re using it for. Like cutting cheeses, the knives are
serrated so the cheese does not stick to it. If you would use
a chef’s knife, it would stick. So if it’s intended
for one purpose, use it for that one purpose.
