CORIANDER RICE

Basmati Rice 2 cups
Onion 3
Green peas 3/4 cup
Grated coconut 1 cup
Green chilies 6
Ginger 1tsp (finely chopped)
Coriander leaves 1 bunch
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Cumin seeds 1tsp
Ghee (melted butter) 2 tbsp
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil
  • Wash and clean the rice.
  • Clean and chop coriander leaves. Grind this with 1 chopped onion, ginger, chopped green chili, garlic, fennel seeds, coconut and little water. Keep it aside.
  • Heat the cooker pan with butter and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, 2 chopped onion- fry until it it becomes translucent.
  • Add green peas and stir fry for a min. Now add ground paste and fry for 2 minutes, add rice and again fry for a min. Add salt and 4 cup water.
  • Cook in the medium heat until the rice is done.
