Recipe for cooking sugar-browned potatoes

2 lbs. new potatoes 1/4 c. butter or butter-replacement 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 3 Tbsp. water Heat 1 in. salted water to boiling. Add potatoes. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and cook until tender, 20 to 25 mins.; drain. Cook and stir butter, sugar and salt in skillet over med. heat until mixture starts to turn golden brown. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Stir in water until blended. Add potatoes. Cook over low heat, turning potatoes to coat with sugar mixture. Yields 4 to 6 servings.
