SUYYAM

Gram dal 1 cup
Jaggery 1 cup
Coconut 1 cup
Cardamom 4 or 5
Raw rice 1 cup
Urud dal 1/2 cup
  • Poornam(stuffing) :Boil gram-dal until half-cooked and drain the water.
  • Add jaggery, grated coconut, cardamom and grind.
  • Make it thick by heating and stirring in low heat for 3 min.Make this into round balls.
  • Soak rice and urud dal in water for 2 hrs.
  • Then grind into a very nice paste.
  • Make even balls with poornam and roll it on this paste and deep fry in boiling oil.
