VEGETABLE AVAL UPMA

Aval(rice flakes) 1/4 lb
Beans 1/2 cup
Cauliflower 1 cup
Carrot 1/2 cup
Greenpeas 1/2 cup
Onion 1
Green chillies 3
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Ghee 2tbsp
Garam masala 1 tsp(curry powder)
Curry leaves
Salt
  • Clean and soak aval in 400ml.water.Keep it for half an hour.
  • After an hour drain the water and keep it aside.
  • Cut all the vegetables into thin long pieces.
  • Heat the pan with the ghee add cumin seeds, curry leaves, then add the vegetables and garam masala fry until it cooked.
  • When it is cooked add salt and aval(after draining water).
  • Cook until the aval becomes soft or cook for 5 min.
