Par boiled rice 3 cup
Urud dal 3/4 cup
Salt
  • Soak idly rice and urud dal in water for about 4-5 hours, both are soaked in separate vessel.
  • Drain the water from the dal and grind it with little water and now drain the water from the idly rice and grind it with little water.
  • Now mix the ground items and add salt.
  • Keep aside for 18-20 hours. Mix well.
  • Boil 3 cups of water in the Idli Vessel, pour the mix in the idli pots and steam it for 10 minutes.
