Vegetarian Curry Recipes

PORITHANNI (GARLIC CURRY)

Raw rice 2 tbsp
Red chili 2
Mustard seeds 2 tsp
Cumin seeds 2 tsp
Black pepper 3
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Garlic cloves 10
Curry leaves
Salt
Oil
  • Soaked the rice in water for 15 min.
  • Grind mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chili, black pepper, curry leaves and 1 garlic clove, grind with little water and keep it aside.
  • Heat the pan with the oil and fry garlic cloves until it becomes soft and keep it aside.
  • Heat another pan with the oil and fry mustard seed, cumin seeds and ground mixture.
  • Then add 1 cup of water, turmeric and salt and let it to boil for 5 min.
  • Now add garlic cloves and lower the heat and it cook for 2 min.
