- Cook the
vegetables adding turmeric powder and salt. Drain the water and
Keep it aside.
- Soak dals in
water for 4 hours. Drain the water and grind the dals with red
chilies, green chilies, asafoetida into a coarse paste without
adding water.
- Add turmeric
powder, little salt, 1
tbsp oil (to make soft usili) and mix well.
- Spread this mixture on
a plate and steam for 5 minutes.
- Take out with
oiled hands and break into granules.
- Heat the pan
with oil and add mustard sees, urad dal fry until it becomes
golden brown, add cooked vegetables and dhal.
- Add salt and
cook for few mintues on low flame.
